FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
✨ Can I choose the Team and Trainer I work with?
Sorry, love! In the spirit of good sportsmanship, and to avoid favoritism, we'll be randomly assigning Ninjas and Trainers to their respective Teams!
✨ Can I be on a Team with my friend?
Sure, pal! Just list your buddy on your registration form and we'll do our best to make sure you're on the same team!
✨ What if I can't complete the challenge or have to drop out due to illness or injury?
The first 1/3 of your entry fee constitutes a non-refundable deposit. Any refund beyond that will be pro-rated based on time and credits remaining and returned to your account as credit for a future Speakeasy purchase.
In the event of a medical drop out, we will remove you from your Team's scorecard to avoid affecting Team averages.
✨ What if I have to drop out for some other reason?
While we understand that life happens, we are asking for a true commitment to the Fitness Throwdown.
In the event you have to drop out due to unforeseen life circumstances, there are no refunds, but we are happy to remove you from your Team's scorecard to avoid affecting Team averages.
✨ How is this different from Snatched?
In the Speakeasy Fitness Throwdown, you are responsible for scheduling your workouts throughout the month. Additionally, while there is some focus on nutrition in the daily challenges, there are no official nutrition coaching check-ins.
This program is about fitness, personal accountability, friendly competition, and team comradery!
While we encourage all Teams to engage in their WhatsApp groups and arrange individual meet-ups as desired, you will be embarking on much of the fitness part of this journey on your own, as everyone has different schedules.
Be sure to plan with your Teams if you want to work out together -- and hold each other accountable to scheduling your workouts and completing your daily challenges!
✨ What happens to my membership while I'm competing?
We will automatically freeze your current membership from September 12th - October 11th at no cost to you! When the Throwdown ends, you'll unfreeze and pick up right where you left off in your current billing period.
✨ How are the points tallied?
Competitors will receive (1) point for every live Clubhouse workout completed, up to 20 points, and (1) point for every daily challenge completed, up to 30. Additionally, each set of Team Captains will assign a weekly BONUS point challenge. If completed, you'll receive (1) point that can be used as a freebie for a missed workout or daily challenge point.
(Keep an eye out for a few surprises along the way, too!)
For those keeping score, that means each competitor is capable of earning a maximum of 50 points over the duration of the challenge.
The points will be totaled and averaged across each team, with the highest average taking the team win!
✨ A NOTE ABOUT THE HONOR SYSTEM:
We are entrusting everyone enrolled in the Fitness Throwdown to participate with honesty and integrity, only counting the points for workouts and challenges they actually complete. Please play fair!
✨ A NOTE ABOUT HONORING YOUR BODY:
Everyone has different physical limits, and while the Fitness Throwdown is meant to challenge you, we don't want anyone pushing themselves beyond their ability to move beautifully or perform healthfully. We want you working out and feeling strong FOR LIFE.
With that in mind, we have introduced our new "Juicy Joints" recovery and mobility workouts -- offered twice a week for the duration of the Throwdown. These are available only to Throwdown participants and count toward your workout points (still a max of 20). If you find the rigor of 5 workouts a week too much one week, give it a try!
And remember! There will be bonus points available each week, presented by your Team Captains, in the event you need to take a workout off here or there. These bonus challenges can take the place of a regular workout or daily activity point, so there's no need to push yourself beyond your limits.
